The following describes the minimum Sage Timeslips system requirements:

Operating System:

  • Windows 8 Ultimate or Professional, Windows 7 Ultimate or Professional, Windows Vista Business or Ultimate
  • PC-compatible with 500 MHz Intel Pentium, AMD, or compatible processor; 1 GHz or higher processor recommended
  • Windows Server 2008, 2008R2, Small Business Server 2011, and Server 2012 – NOTE: only applicable to Terminal Services installations


  • 1GB RAM; 2GB or higher recommended

Hard Disk

  • 300 MB free hard disk space for installation (excluding your database); 75MB additional for the database; 100Mb+ additional space required when printing bills or reports to PDF, and backup files


  • SVGA or better resolution supporting 1024×768 and 256 colors; 1024×768 or higher recommended


  • Network connectivity requires a network adapter appropriate to your type of network


  • Adobe® Reader® to review PDF files (Adobe Reader X is included on the Sage Timeslips Installation); additional 25 MB hard disk space required for Adobe Reader installation
  • CD-ROM drive, 4x or higher recommended
  • PC-compatible keyboard, mouse, and printer
  • Modem if using the dialing features within Sage Timeslips
  • Scanning functionality in Slip Attachments and Document Access requires TWAIN compatible-scanner
  • Internet connection required for using Sage Timeslips web features such as eCenter
  • Sending bills and statements by email, or reprinting bills to email requires MAPI- a compliant email program such as Microsoft Outlook®; not compatible with Outlook Express, Windows Live Mail, AOL® email or any web-based email account
  • Microsoft Outlook 2013, 2010, or 2007 is required on the Sage Timeslips workstation for using the Outlook Link or receiving slips by email
  • Microsoft Excel 2013, 2010, or 2007 is required for using the Print to Excel feature
  • Microsoft Word 2013, 2010, or 2007 is required for mail merge functionality and viewing enhanced RTF
  • Sound card and speakers recommended for enhanced interaction
