How to…
Timeslips offers command line parameters for convenience when starting the program. To use a command line parameter, add it to the command line of the icon that launches Timeslips.
The following command line parameters are available:
DB:
- Function: Opens the specified database, regardless of the last database opened in the previous Timeslips session.
- Syntax: “<Path to Timeslips.exe>”<space>”DB:<Path to Database>”
- Example: “C:⧵Program Files⧵Timeslips⧵Timeslip.exe” “DB:C:⧵Program Files⧵Timeslips⧵data01⧵Main.db”
PERS:
- Function: Defines the Timeslips preferences file (*.prf) that you want to use.
- Syntax: “<Path to Timeslips.exe>”<space>”PERS:<path to Timeslips preference file>”
- Example: “C:⧵Program Files⧵Timeslips⧵Timeslip.exe” “PERS:C:⧵MyPrefs.prf”
